Xpo Recap January – April 2013

2013 xpo shipping recap

XpoSolutions has enjoyed an exciting 2013 thus far and is happy to announce the launch of our new website with myXpos live tracking. This project has been in the works for months and we hope all of our customers will take advantage of the real time updates that are now available on our newly redesigned website.

2013 has started off with a record quarter and XpoSolutions is growing off that momentum with each passing day. We were happy to introduce our newest Xpo coordinator, Erik Anderson, to our customers earlier this year and he has flourished in this new position. Erik is an avid fisherman and outdoorsman who lives and breathes Chicago Bears football. Our ever-expanding team has been hungry for growth and takes each step forward in stride as we continually look for ways to serve our customers more efficiently – our new website promises to be at the forefront of these new measures we are taking to keep everyone informed at the click of a button.

Speaking of hunger, Xpo management has long enjoyed quarterly dinners at the team favorite’s restaurant Texas De Brazil. Strategies have materialized and marketing campaigns have been imagined over several courses of meat since the beginning of XpoSolutions. This tradition may now be in jeopardy though as one member of the management team has taken up a vegan diet. Will the longstanding business practice continue or will this new ideology throw a wrench in the meat-works for good? Stay tuned to future recaps for results.

Next April we plan on moving to a larger location to accommodate our fast growing business. One of our visions in the new office is to have a standing work station where various team members rotate parts of their shifts and work while standing up to promote an energetic and healthy workplace. This concept was inspired by Dr Oz and we hope the idea gets legs. The Dr. Oz station promises to be a healthier life style approach to our busy office days.

We would like to thank our customers for the growing amount of referral business that keeps coming our way and we promise to deliver on all that positive word of mouth that so many of you have been spreading. As more and more customers experience the presence XpoSolutions has at majority of the major shows across the country so grows our commitment to making each one of our customers’ shows a resounding success.

And it is not just tradeshows that we are handling as the demand from our customers for LTL (less than truckload) freight has prompted us to launch a new division in the coming months. Keep on the lookout for Ship It Solutions: the exclusive LTL division for your every day freight. More announcements to come about this exciting new division that will offer ultra-competitive rates to meet your shipping needs.

At the end of the day the Xpo team quite often takes a moment to reflect upon the tough moments we endured as well as the bright spots we cherished. We refer to these points in time as pits and peaks, inspired by an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. These are shared with everyone and while they can sometimes make you cringe, more often they bring a smile to your face or a tear to your eye. Thanks for reading the first edition of our Xpo Recap, it was certainly a peak for us.
